East Manatee County’s Fire Station 2 sits at the south end of Manatee County, servicing the Lakewood Ranch community. Snell was honored to be approached for the structural engineering for one of Manatee County’s most important structures. The construction consists of masonry bearing walls and wood roof trusses. The slab on grade is 9” thick to allow for the heavy rescue to park without worry of cracking the slab.
