The Bay, Phase 1
The Bay is the transformation of 53 acres of city-owned land into a signature public park on Sarasota Bay. When it is fully complete, The Bay will include a wide range of park uses that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
The first phase of The Bay project included more than 14 acres of restored and revitalized greenspace, mangroves, shorelines, and wetlands. It also features an Ibis playground, common lawns, a concession pavilion, the Mangrove Bayou Walkway, an outdoor reading room, an ADA-accessible paddle launch, and a sunset deck.
